The Tad Handtooled Leather Earring

Named for Tad Lucas — trick rider, lady bronc rider, and one of the most iconic cowgirls in rodeo history. In her publicity photos she wore elaborate cowgirl boots; while trick riding, functional red leather ones. The Tad Teardrop Earring carries that same spirit: functional, beautiful, and unmistakably cowgirl.

Each earring is hand tooled and hand painted. The sunflower center is painted by hand, with depth added by dying the background deep brown or black. Turquoise beads are hand tooled as a border and painted in multiple tones of turquoise for a real, dimensional look. Antique finish is then carefully applied to bring out the depth of the tooling, finished with copper hardware findings. Weighs just 0.4 oz for the pair — you’ll forget you’re wearing them.
