It is not cotton and does have the soft synthetic feel associated with polyester fleece. However, this is a fleece fabric rather than the slick, shiny polyester used in some performance or all-over-print garments.
The material is designed for warmth and layering, with a soft, fuzzy fleece texture and a fabric weight of 7.4 oz/yd² (175 g/m²).
If you prefer natural fibers only, please keep in mind that this vest is 100% polyester.
